Members of the community are invited to attend Notable Works’ 2021 Fall Concert and Poetry Reading, “Working Together,” on Saturday, Oct. 16, at the North Providence Union Free Library.
The presentation will feature poets included in two of Notable Works’ recent publications, “Voices of the Earth: The Future of Our Planet II” and “Love Warms the Homeless Heart II.”
Featured poets include Elizabeth Bogutt, Emily Cooper, David Dragone, Noreen Iglesi, Thomas Lane, Jan Luby and Patricia McAlpine. Also featured is the Notable Works Ensemble under the direction of Noreen Iglesi with Tina Bernard on vocals, Maria Bilyeu on cello, Dalita Getzoyan on flue and vocals, and Alison Shea on piano.
There will be a special presentation from Alicia Lehrer, executive director of the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council, about current and future projects, programs and events.
Doors for the event open at 12:30 p.m., and the program begins at 1 p.m.
The library is located at 1810 Mineral Spring Ave. in North Providence. Registration is required by calling the library’s circulation department at 353-5600, ext. 2.
