In celebration of the Meals on Wheels program, Mayor Scott Avedisian recently teamed up with one of the stalwart volunteers of the program, Robert Markham, to deliver a meal to Olive DeCotis. Since joining the program on May 24, 2006, Markham has served 1,215 clients, done 39 routes, driven 26,699 miles, logged 1,033 volunteer days and delivered 19,774 meals. And there’s no measuring how much his visits have meant to so many people.
