Arthur J. Ouillette, Sr., 75, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023. He was the beloved husband for 57 years to Linda M. (Burke) Ouillette. Born in Providence, Arthur was a son of the late Joseph W. and Rose (Denham) Ouillette. He was a master electrician with the Warwick School Department for 32 years before retiring in 2013. Arthur had been a resident of Warwick, RI for 35 years before moving to Dayville, CT in 2006. In 1966 Arthur graduated from Central High School and later graduated from New England Tech. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2295 as well as a Boy Scout Assistant Scout Master for Troop 7 in Warwick. He received numerous scouting awards and was proud that all of his sons and grandsons became Eagle Scouts. Arthur enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, traveling, as well as playing the role of Santa for the scouts, local schools, and the Smithfield Senior Center.
In addition to his wife Linda, he is survived by his sons Arthur J. Ouillette, Jr. and his wife Jill, and Donald H. Ouillette and his wife Jeanne all of Dayville, CT. He was the brother of Gary Ouillette of Warwick and the late Donald H. Ouillette. He is also survived by his two grandsons Kyle and Cory Ouillette and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Monday, June 5, 2023, at 9am from the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Pike, Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Joseph Church, North Scituate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Visitation Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 2-5pm.
