Three Warwick PAL football teams traveled to Stonington, Conn., over the weekend to compete in youth Super Bowls, and two of them came home as champions.
The Jr. Pee Wee team and the Pee Wee team each captured Rhode Island Super Bowl championships. The Jr. Pee Wees defeated North Kingstown 6-0, while the Pee Wees beat North Kingstown 20-0.
The Jr. Midget team also competed, and it fell to North Kingstown 26-14.
With the victories, the Jr. Pee Wee and the Pee Wee teams advance to the first round of regionals this Sunday in Coventry. The Jr. Pee Wees will take on Hyde Park at 10 a.m., while the Pee Wees will go against Wareham at 12 p.m.
