For the second time in 10 days, the Pilgrim and West Warwick softball teams staged a slugfest on Tuesday afternoon, and Pilgrim once again came out on top.
After a 15-8 win in their first meeting on May 4, the Pats beat the Wizards 11-10 this time thanks to an extra-innings rally. Kelsey Johnston drove in the tying run with her fourth hit of the game then scored the winning run on a balk.
The Pats improved to 9-2 with the victory. They’ll return to action today with a road game against Prout before a showdown with first-place East Greenwich on Monday at 3:45 p.m. at Winslow Park.
