Betty Jane (Allen) Percival, 95, of Warwick, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 17, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Irving Percival. She was the daughter of the late Harry D. and Dorothy A. (Smith) Allen.

She is survived by her beloved children, Darryl L. Percival (Kathleen), Keith A. Percival, and Janis L. Constantine (Michael), and her four adored grandchildren, Carra Beth Baptista (Peter), Alexis A. Percival Slovick (David), Jonathan M. Constantine (Chelsea), and Dean A. Percival.

She was the sister of the late Virginia M. Meyer, Elaine Bak, and Richard J. Allen.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Betty moved to Rhode Island as a child and was a graduate of Gorton High School where she met her husband, Bob, whom she married in 1949. She briefly worked as a typist before becoming a devoted housewife and dedicated mother. Betty whole-heartedly embraced her role as “Nannie” to her cherished grandchildren. Rarely missing an event or milestone in any of their lives, she was a loving and doting grandmother who was undeniably proud of her family. She truly loved spending time with them.

A longtime member of Warwick Central Baptist Church in Apponaug, Betty belonged to the Ruth and Hannah Circles and served on the Board of Christian Education and the Board of Deacons. Betty and her late husband were blessed with many friends and enjoyed traveling all over the world and spent several winters in Florida. Betty loved to golf and played in leagues at both the former Woodland Greens and Seaview Golf Clubs.

Her friends and family will fondly remember her kindness and beautiful spirit and she will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Funeral Services were entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Burial was private.
