Philip Charles Swanson, 75, passed away at home surrounded by the family he adored, Saturday, October 22, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (Wood) Swanson and a son of the late Philip E. and Rose A. (Fallon) Swanson. Philip was employed at Electric Boat in quality control for 14 years until he retired. He had formerly worked at Stanley Bostich in East Greenwich. He had served in the Airforce Reserves for 6 years and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. Philip loved kayaking on Narrow River, quahoging, and was the biggest Celtics fan.
He was the devoted father of Patricia Rose Swanson and Philip S. Swanson (Madelyn Petrarca). He also leaves his loving nephews Richard Beaupre, Dr. Stephen Beaupre and David Beaupre. He is predeceased by his sister Barbara Jane Beaupre.
His funeral service will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 10am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-8pm.
