SUSPENDED LICENSE

Around noon on March 18, Warwick Police Officer Aaron L. Steere initiated a traffic stop after spotting a vehicle missing its front registration plate (due to front end damage).

After running the plate, police discovered the registration was suspended.

Steere identified the driver as Steven J. Reyes, 31, of 1303 Elmwood Ave., Apt. 205, Cranston. He informed police that his driver’s license was suspended.

After checking the driver’s identification, Steere learned that Reyes “had a lengthy criminal history for Operating on Suspended Licenses and had at least three prior convictions.

Reyes was arrested and transported to the Warwick Police Department. Police filed a misdemeanor charge of Operating on a Suspended License. Reyes was also cited for Operating Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration and Display of Plates.


NO TRESPASS

Around 9:47 p.m., March 19, Warwick Police responded to the Hampton Inn at 2100 Post Road after receiving a report of a disturbing the peace in progress.

Motel employees told police that a man in the building approached the desk and asked for a family member’s room number. The motel told the man his name had to be included on the reservation to receive that information. The man told the employee that he needed to charge his phone, and she told him he needed to use the outlet near the fireplace in the lobby.

The man allegedly threw a small bottle of hand sanitizer at the employee. She called police. Hampton Inn requested police issue a no-trespass order against the man, identified as Eric David Hawkins, 53, of 42680 Wisconsin Ave., Palm Desert, California.

“Hawkins was dispersed from the property without incident,” police wrote in the incident report. He received a no trespass order.
