Blanketed by fall leaves, Pontiac Village park was the ideal setting for Saturday’s trunk or treat event hosted by the village association and organized by its president Patricia Picinich. In their roles as Spiderman, witches, devils and ghosts, tick and treaters went from table set up on the park tennis court to fill their bags with candy. There were crafts and the kids got to make faces on foam cutouts of pumpkins. Some couldn’t resist shooting hoops on the basketball court. Picinich has plans for another community event at Christmas, perhaps with carols but maybe not with Santa, as he could be too much of a crowd gathering visitor.

Halloween, Pontiac
