Phyllis (Doyon) Powers-Leeds, 88, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late Harry P. Leeds and former wife of the late James Powers and Anthony Iervolino. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph V. and Anna M. (McCormick) Doyon.

Phyllis was a graduate of the Nursing Program at CCRI and began her lifelong career in healthcare as a Pediatric Nurse for Dr. Bellin. Transitioning from a Nurse to a Nurse Practitioner, she founded and operated Paramedex. She completed her service in healthcare as a Nurse Practitioner at Eleanor Slater Hospital in Cranston. A devout Catholic, Phyllis was a communicant of St. Joseph Parish in West Warwick, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and a longtime choir member. Phyllis was a devoted wife and mother who was blessed with a fun-loving personality, she was a world traveler who enjoyed synchronized water ballet, riding her motorcycle and on the occasion of her 80th Birthday, flew a Cessna Plane. She was also a member of the first all-women Skin Diving Club Sea Gals.

She is survived by her beloved son, David J. Powers of West Warwick, her stepchildren, John Dancause-Leeds, Bruce Dancause of Warwick, David Leeds of Naples, FL, Michael Leeds of Naples, FL, and Charles Leeds of Daytona Beach, her nieces, Yolanda Doyon-Lariviere (Mark) of Florida and Linda DellaRovere (Dennis) of Mendon, MA, Patti Paiva (Victor) of Seekonk, MA, Terry Paiva (Dave) of Lincoln, RI and her nephew, Mark Doyon (Kerstin) of Johnston.

Phyllis was the sister of the late Joseph E. Doyon and Kenneth E. Dupre.

Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 8:30AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in West Warwick.

Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 6:00PM-8:00PM.
