People will have the chance to celebrate Warwick’s quahogging heritage at the Seventh Annual Quahoggers Jamboree at Warwick Public Library on Wednesday, June 20. From 5 to 7 p.m., buy dinner from the Reds Street Kitchen food truck. Reds offers a tasty variety of artisan cheesesteak sandwiches, buttermilk fried chicken, fresh hand-cut fries, and more.
At 5:30 p.m., sit back and reminisce about shore dinners and other summertime amusements at a showing of the David Bettencourt documentary film “You Must Be This Tall: The Story of Rocky Point Park.” At 7 p.m., enjoy a concert of sunny swing jazz by The Aristocats, Rhode Island’s premier swing jazz quartet, with Lloyd Kaplan on clarinet and vocals, Nat Piccirelli on guitar, Dennis Pratt on bass, and Joe Holtzman on drums.
The Seventh Annual Quahoggers Jamboree is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. For more information, call 739-5440, x9758. The library is located at 600 Sandy Lane. This event is free and open to all.
