To the Editor:
Let me introduce you to my cousin and good friend, one that’ll stand by you to the end, through the good and bad, through thick and thin.
I’m proud to have her as one of my kin, she’s a talented person who played the guitar and she drove a real nice car. In life, I think she did go far.
She was a good wife, mom, mother-in-law and grandma, too. To her whole family, she was only faithful and true.
Mary Dugas is this person I’m speaking of, a kind woman with a heart full of love. She was always good to me.
Her kindness I would always see, but on Jan. 24, 1998, Mary died at 48. That is too young to die, you know that isn’t great. Yes, in 1998 when Mary died on Jan. 24, I said why did she die so soon, why didn’t she live some more?
Mary, as time goes by, we miss you, and that is just so true.
