Rocky Point Return

Hi my name is Chris Fortin. I am 30 years old and have lived in RI my whole life. I used to go to Rocky Point amusement park in Warwick RI since I was a kid. Every time was magical! The smell of popcorn and cotton candy was unexplainable and makes me smile just thinking about how happy I was when we first saw the Rocky Point entrance driving through, knowing we were about to have a day of excitement and memorable moments. Between the great rides, concession stands, great clamcakes and chowder, the family fun environment and just the overall great memories I want to bring it back to RI. In 1996 when Rocky Point was closed down and destroyed, many Rhode Islander were heart broken that the park was gone forever.......but thats about to change! I am currently coming up with a marketing plan and budgeting plan for the state since this whole project will be state funded. This rebuild will provide hundreds of jobs, everyone being able to relive their childhood, new families being able to revisit this historical, fun, exciting place with their kids, and a chance to help RI get back on the map with the greatest amusement park in New England. I just need everyone's moral support and in return I will have everyone's name individually enscripted on a plaque that helped me reopen Rocky point! Thank you everyone for your moral support and I promise you, this wont be easy, or something done quickly.....but I WILL reopen Rocky Point Park!

I've come up with an entire new concept of Rocky Point that I KNOW would bring people from all over New England. First off I want to rebuild the original amusement park with replicas of the exact same park as before, but also extend the unused land that was never used in the original park to add new rides and make it bigger. I also want to bring back the Shore Dining Hall and all you can eat chowder house. I want to create New England's biggest arcade including 4 floors of video games (Old school classic games on top level, newer but outdated games on third floor and all of the new hot games on the first and second floor. With also ticket games to win prizes...Tons of prizes like Dave and Busters style. I want to add a concert venue with a huge stage for concerts throughout the week. A miniature golf course, a petting zoo, a small night club/karaoke bar, and a movie theater. This will be the place that everyone in RI will go on any day of the week! I'm trying to reach out to RI in every way possible. This is why I love Rhode Island, everyone has such passion and we all have each others back and we ALL want, and need Rocky Point back!! Im currently putting together a plan while getting TONS of names on petitions throughout the state. If there is anyone that would like to help me with this it would be wicked awesome!!!!
