For years, John Wickes School Principal Roy Costa has made it a practice to have the school observe June 14 – Flag Day – with songs, a history of the American flag and, of course, the raising of the flag. Singing for the school assembly are Mackenzie Silcox, Rikkilyn Parenteau, Ben Tietze and Damien Benevides. Costa read a history of the flag, wearing his colorful red, white and blue hat as the custom and everyone saluted the flag. (Warwick Beacon photos)
