Warwick Area Career and Technical Center fashion merchandizing teacher Sharon Bowen was inspired when she discovered flip flops on sale at Old Navy. She bought about 50 pairs in different sizes and colors with the thought of awakening the creative genes of her five students. The program is being integrated into a business academy next academic year. Bowen’s students quickly took on the challenge. The flip flops took on flare. Starting next week the one-of-a-kind footwear will go on sale at $5 a pair at the center. The funds raised will be donated to the House of Hope. Properly distanced so they could take off their masked for the photo are Jacob Tack, a senior and Brenna Maine, a junior.
