Community and church groups stepped out in October to call attention to food insecurity in our community. A total of 135 walkers and their supporters raised more than $9,600 to support local food pantries and the Westbay Marketplace. Participating groups included Boy Scout Troop 1 Conimicut, Boy Scout Troop 49 Lakewood, Concordia Center, Conimicut Village Association, Lakewood Baptist Church, St Benedict/St Kevin Catholic Church, St Mark’s Episcopal , Warwick Central Baptist, West Bay Marketplace, Westminster Unitarian and Woodbury Union, Presbyterian.
