Jerry English, who only recently retired from running the Warwick Cove Marina fuel dock for 27 years, was in for a surprise last Thursday during a ceremonial ribbon cutting at Fairwinds Marina in Oakland Beach. Joe McGrady, who bought Warwick Cove Marina from John Williams, invited all the contractors who assisted in the extensive renovations to join in the ribbon cutting celebration. Then McGrady popped the surprise naming the fuel dock for Jerry. Jerry knows all the boaters in the cove. McGardy and Jerry share the moment below the sign held by Williams and Mayor Frank Picozzi. Everyone joined in for the ribbon cutting. (Warwick Beacon photos)
