Delayed by Tropical Storm Henri for a week, Save Sand Pond held their Pond Palooza Sunday in support of their cause to prevent construction of a 630-unit self-storage facility at Pond Plaza on Post Road overlooking the pond. Chloe, the faithful companion of Alisha Richardson took her seat in the Hope canoe; resident David Bouchard proudly shows off the painting of the pond done by Joel Dunn that he acquired in the silent action; Makayla Rodrigues holds out a bag of tickets for one of many raffle items and an extended family enjoys the scene. Funds raised by the palooza will help pay for legal representation in the group’s fight now in its fourth year to stop the development. (Warwick Beacon photos)
