Saint Elizabeth CEO elected CareLink board chair

Matt Trimble, president and CEO of Saint Elizabeth Community based in East Greenwich was elected chairman of the board of CareLink at the organization’s annual meeting recently at the Pawtucket Country Club.

Established in 1997, CareLink Rhode Island is a nonprofit network of post-acute and community-based providers and direct care staff serving older adults and adults with disabilities. Its membership base includes home care, hospice, adult day health, long-term care, assisted living, short-term and outpatient rehabilitation, and independent living providers throughout Rhode Island. CareLink, Inc. is located in East Providence.

Also elected to the board  are, Vice Chair, Diana Franchitto, president and CEO of HopeHealth (Providence);  Secretary Colette Silverman, executive director of Scandinavian Communities (Cranston); and Treasurer Joshua Segal, executive director of Steere House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (Providence).

Carelink trustees are  Garrett Sullivan, executive director of Saint Antoine Community (North Smithfield); Laura Dos Santos, director of operations for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence and acting administrator of St. Clare (Newport); Roberta Merkle, Esq., executive vice president of strategic initiatives at Saint Elizabeth Community (East Greenwich); and Haigouhi Corriveau, administrator of The Seasons East Greenwich. Trustees-at-Large are: The Honorable Maureen Maigret, former R.I. State Representative (1975-1984) and current chair of the state Long Term Care Coordinating Council’s Aging in Community Subcommittee; and Robert Leach, vice president/senior relationship manager at HarborOne Bank (Providence).

CareLink staff with a seat on the Board is CEO Dr. Chris Gadbois.

Gadbois presented several awards at the annual meeting. The  “Spirit of CareLink” award was presented to Jessica Gosselin, MS, director of Saint Elizabeth Adult Day Centers for embodying the collaborative network model of CareLink.

“Mountain Mover” award was presented to Dr. Jeffrey Dodge, CareLink lead dentist who maintains a private practice in general dentistry in Woonsocket, for practicing advocacy and pushing through obstacles and Rising Star awards were presented to CareLink Physical Therapist Kelley Hurley of Cranston and Physical Therapy Assistant Megan Vasconcellos of Warwick for continuously demonstrating their potential for growth and talent;. Recipients of Clinical Excellence Awards were  CareLink Dental Assistant Ben Duarte of Pawtucket and Occupational Therapist Tina Horbert of Cranston  for going above and beyond in the delivery of exceptional customer service.
