Sally Anne Spencer

Sally Anne Spencer, 94, of Warwick, passed on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Kent Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles S. Spencer and the late Finley Deatcher.

Born in Providence, she was the loving daughter of the late Harmon B. and Sarah (Allen) Kneeland.

Sally was employed for years as an Executive Secretary at General Dynamics Corporation, retiring in 1991. She was also a Lifetime Member and Sunday School Teacher at the Westminster Unitarian Church and was also a Member of the Pilgrim Senior Center. Sally volunteered for both The American Cancer Society and the Alzheimer’s Association. She enjoyed playing Bingo, attending Bingo events at Foxboro and Sunday Bingo of Friends of Warwick Senior Center. Sally also volunteered for many years at the House of Hope in Warwick and received many commendations for her service.

Sally is survived by her beloved son: Steven C. Spencer and his wife, Kristine of Austin, Texas; a brother-in-law, Donald Benson; and several nieces and nephews. Sally was the dear mother of the late Pamela Russell and cherished grandmother of the late Tiffany Russell. She was also predeceased by her sisters: Marjorie Kneeland, Mary Kneeland Thoman and Jean Kneeland Benson.
