Joseph A. Scott, 94, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023. He was the beloved husband for 62 years of the late Angelina M. “Ginger” (DiPalma) Scott. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Archibald H. and Margaret F. (Rinn) Scott. He resided in Warwick for 60 years. Joseph worked as a lithographer for most of his life with J.W. Little Company and Jay Printing, until retiring in 1991. Joseph was an avid golfer throughout his life and enjoyed gardening. He also enjoyed coaching men’s softball and his grandson in the Continental Little League. Joseph was happiest when spending time with family, cheering his grandchildren at sporting events, and watching them perform in plays.
He is survived by his children JoAnn S. Mallozzi (Steven, MD), Mark J. Scott (Annette), and the late Joseph R. Scott, SSgt, USMC. He was the loving grandfather of Jeremy Scott (Holly), Jessica Allison (Gregory), Jeffrey Scott, Scott Mallozzi, MD (Cara), and Joshua Scott; great-grandfather of Joseph, Ryan, Madeline, Emma, Aubrey, Emma, and Elias. He is predeceased by his siblings Margaret F. Hondo, Edward J. Scott, Josephine Kelly, William Cole Jr., Charles Cole, and Lawrence Cole.
A visitation was held Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 8:30am-10:00am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick with a Mass of Christian at 10:30am in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Ln., Warwick. Burial followed in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
