JOHN WICK: Chapter 4
* * *
Ultra -Violent Sequel)
If you are a John Wick fan, you will probably give this one 5 stars.
It is extremely violent with non-stop action and half of the world being killed in a variety of innovative ways.
The action begins in the dessert with Wick on Horseback and follows him through Japan, Germany and Paris, leaving hundreds of dead bodies behind.
There’s a $40 million bounty on his head, so assassins appear from behind trees, in art museums, and hotels.
Attackers are killed in a variety of ways, and always finished off with a close range bullet to the head.
Amazingly, Wick came kill ten of them at once with nary a scratch.
The big battle happens as cars are circling the Arc de Triumph, a challenge under normal conditions.
The camera work and editing, as bodies fly in all directions, is incredible.
The movie is over two hours of action all leading to a final duel with a surprise ending.
There is a plot, but who cares. You’ll be too busy keeping track of the body count.
Will there be a Joh Wick-Chapter 5?
The writers will have to really push the envelope to make it happen.
The Whale, OUR FAVORITE MOVIE OF THE YEAR, IS BACK AT THE Avon. If you haven’t seen end, get over to Thayer St. and catch it. If you have seen it, it is worth seeing again.
