Hosted by Bally’s, each of the players was given $2,000 in chips to play five hands of black jack at tables of six. The player completing the round with the most in chips moved on to the table of champions where they all started off again with $2,000. The player finishing with the most in chips; it was Senator Frank Lombardi (left) who won $10,000 in real money for the RI Community Food Bank, his choice of charities. The charities of all players who didn’t advance to the champions’ table will receive $1,000. In total, Bally’s donated $60,000 to charitable organizations. Approximately $540,000 has been given to local charities since the founding of this annual festive holiday event.
