The Rhode Island Building Officials Association honored the legacy of the late Sam Netcoh at the 2023 Tolls for the Trades ceremony and luncheon at Tides Café at the Warwick Area Career and Technical Center Thursday. Netcoh Sales of Warwick and DeWalt and Stanley Bostich Tools are major sponsors of the event that celebrates students who complete the International Codes Council high school technical training program. The students are provided tools of the trade. In addition to construction trades students from WACTC graduating students from Ponaganset Career and Technical and Woonsocket Career and Technical were recognized. Organizers of the event were Wayne Pimental and Chuck Phelps. Frank Picozzi, who put aside his tool belt as an independent contractor when he was elected mayor, advised the students to welcome building inspectors as they will work with you.
