On Friday, Aug. 6, Wickford Art Association (WAA) launches “Small Works: Lil’ Rhody Art Show & Sale” featuring diminutive works inspired by Rhode Island, our landscapes, culture, and uniqueness, at the association’s Beach Street gallery.
The exhibit and sale run through Sept. 5. All work is small in scale – no larger than 14 inches and priced for purchase and carry, $25 to $300. With work by 40-plus artist-members of Wickford Art and artists/artisans-in-residence at The Mill at Shady Lea, there will be offerings in paint, ceramics, photography, fabric, collage and more.
Wickford Art will provide a sneak peek at artists and works on social media throughout the show and sale; find WAA @wickfordartassociation (Facebook) and @wickfordart (Instagram and Twitter).
The gallery will be open for viewing Wednesday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 3 p.m., with occasional open nights all summer long.
