Spring cleaning

The rain held off long enough Saturday for the Warwick Historical Cemeteries Commission, augmented by volunteers, to conduct its spring cleanup of Brayton Cemetery in Apponaug. For decades Robert Darigan did the job voluntarily. The Darigans took on Danny Hall shortly after his birth and raised him. Danny considers Darigan as his father and helped him with the cleanups. Following Darigan’s death in February, 2020, Danny arranged to have him buried in the cemetery he cared for. Danny is not only a driving force to keep Brayton clean but is working with the commission to restore some of the city’s historic cemeteries.
