On Saturday, April 28th, St. Gregory’s Baseball and Softball League hosted a Local Qualifying Event for Major League Baseball’s Pitch Hit and Run Competition. Winning in their age groups and moving on to the Sectionals to be held at McCoy Stadium on May 11th are:
Girls 13-14 – Ava Sammartino (All-Around), Ava Sammartino (Pitching), Ava Sammartino (Hitting), Ava Sammartino (Run)
Girls 11-12 – Ashley Amore (All-Around), Morgan Collins and Ashley Amore (Tie – Pitching and Hitting), Rebecca Yaseen (Run)
Girls 9-10 – Sofia Barry (All-Around), Jacqulyn Altieri, Hayley Hindle, Meghan Merrow and Liza Sammartino (Tie – Pitching), Meghan Merrow (Hitting), Sofia Barry (Run)
Boys 13-14 – Collin Russell (All-Around), Nick Davenport, Collin Russell and Will Fox (Tie – Pitching), Leo George and Collin Russell (Tie – Hitting), Ethan Martin (Run)
Boys 11-12 – Grayson Ahearn (All-Around), Grayson Ahearn and Matt Galipeau (Tie – Pitching), Grayson Ahearn (Hitting), Jared Hughes (Run)
Boys 9-10 – Matt Davenport (All-Around), Matt Davenport (Pitching), Matt Davenport (Hitting), Matt Davenport (Run)
Boys 7-8 – William McClelland (All-Around), William McClelland (Pitching), William McClelland (Hitting), William McClelland (Run)
Ava Sammartino and Collin Russell earned the most overall points in the divisions.
