Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are down two cents from last week, according to AAA Northeast.
AAA’s Feb. 2 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.08 per gallon, down two cents from last week. Prices locally are 32 cents lower than a month ago. The current price is two cents more than the national average for regular unleaded of $2.06. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $1.36 higher at $3.44.
The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 27 cents, from a low of $1.97 to a high of $2.24. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area.
