It’s still not too late to make reservations to attend the Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick’s Summer Camp Party – no sunscreen required. The annual dinner and auction event is always a lively time, and you could win the $10,000 cash raffle drawn at the end of the evening.
This year’s Summer Camp themed party is being held at Warwick Country Club, Saturday, April 27. It begins at 6 p.m. with an auction item preview and cash bar. Dinner, silent and live auctions start at 7 p.m. Auction items include catered dinners, tickets to Patriots and Red Sox games, and lots more. You’ll also be able to cheer on some outstanding supporters: the local Planet Fitness – Anne Marie and Stephen Lukin and Team, who will be receiving the organization’s Community Hero Award, and longtime champion Donald Ysenbart of Cranston who will be given the Hall of Fame Award.
Admission for two is $200, and comes with a $10,000 cash raffle ticket. The raffle ticket alone is $100. Buy one for yourself, or split the cost with family, friends, or co-workers! You do not have to be present to win. And if you are not present, you can now increase your odds of winning a portion of the grand prize by checking off the box indicating you are willing to split the prize with other finalists. With only 400 tickets available, odds of winning the $10,000 are excellent.
All sales support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick, whose membership exceeds 1,500 youngsters. Annual Club dues of only $30 plus $20 monthly fees are not nearly enough to cover the costs of its wide-ranging programming. And due to the organization’s mission of providing a safe, supervised, fun place for kids to go after school – no child is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.
To purchase $10,000 Cash Raffle tickets, send a check or visit the Club administrative office at 42 Frederick St., Warwick, 02888. Event reservations can also be made by check or in person, or you can visit www.wbgclubs.org and pay online.
Additional sponsors and auction item donations are still being accepted. To learn more, visit the website or call the Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick at 467-4385.
