Dercum's disease is an extremely rare condition characterized by multiple growths in the fatty tissue of the trunk, upper arms and upper legs that cause severe pain. The cause of the disease is unknown. The disease is more prevalent in women, particularly post-menopausal women who carry excess body fat.
This is the fifth event Tavern 12 has hosted a fundraiser for the fund.
