According to a code red message sent to Warwick residents sent by Mayor Picozzi last Wednesday this year’s tax bills have been on-line and payable since Monday, but the paper copies are still being processed by the billing vendor. There were a couple of issues with the Munis Software Upgrade that caused the city to be a few days late in getting the file to the vendor.
Because of the holiday next week, some property owners may not get their paper copy of the bill until late in the week or, possibly, even the following week. The due date on the bills will be July 15th. However, the Mayor issued a grace period of two weeks. As long as residents pay the first quarter by July 31st, no interest will be charged. The Mayor said he apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
