Warwick Public Schools teachers and staff gathered in City Park on Tuesday afternoon to get ready for the start of the new school year with a wellness fair. The event was funded by Project AWARE funding, which aims to improve mental health services in schools, and was set up by Kristin Murray, WPS’s social-emotional learning coordinator. Murray considered the event a success, saying “It’s well-deserved- they’ve been through a lot. We can only give as much as we get and if we don’t replenish ourselves, it leads to burnout.”
