To the Editor:
To the gentleman who rescued me and my 60 pounds of birdseed outside the Job Lot store near West Bay Community Action on Tuesday last:
Dear sir,
Sincere thanks and all the gratitude in my heart for the timely rescue at the ripe old age of 84, I doubt I could have managed the two-mile walk home in so much heat and over so many fallen trees.
Yours was much more than a “random act of kindness.” It was truly a lifesaver. I will never forget you. Your gentle handling of a seriously distraught stranger says much about your character. The world could use many more like you.
God bless you.
