Recently, my best friend and I were driving through the village when we decided to get a bite to eat at O’Rourke’s. It was Friday and I had clam chowder on my mind, so we walked in from the side. As soon as you walk in, you are immediately conscious of how clean the place is, with the beautiful light streaming in the back of the pub.
Once sitting, you get a very relaxed feeling with the Ryder Cup on the flat screens – it only gets better!
Menus in front of us, and a cold beverage in hand, we started with the chowder. The last time I had chowder that was half as good as O’Rourke’s was in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. I was going to go through all the food but that would be like going to a great movie then telling you all about it, spoiling it. If you get a chance and you’re hungry, go to O’Rourke’s in Pawtuxet Village; you will be back, I promise. The service was fantastic with Darcy and Kailey O’Rourke, the best and prettiest barkeeps this side of County Cork. How could anyone go wrong? A+!
