Thomas E. Coates 65, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Providence, The son of Edgar and June (Gaskey) Coates. He was a self-employed carpenter who loved his family, Nascar and enjoyed building things. He was the husband of Debra L. (Jones) Coates. He leaves behind 5 children James Kozusko Jr., Michael Kozusko, Richard Lavender (US Army), Kristen Coates and Heidi Coates-Thomas; 2 sisters Vivian Coates, Linda Amaral and Holly Penta; 2 brothers Stephen Coates and Timothy Coates; 8 grandchildren and 2 predeceased brothers Robert and Edgar Coates.
A Funeral Home service will be held Friday, November 4, 2022 at 10am in the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Visiting hours will be Thursday, November 3, 2022 4-7pm. His Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery in North Kingstown.
