On Wednesday, October 12, United Way of Rhode Island will honor a slate of community champions during a free event at Farm Fresh RI in Providence, and welcomes all Rhode Islanders to attend. It’s the organization’s 96th Annual Celebration, and the first time it is being held in person in three years. Anyone who wishes to attend just needs to RSVP in advance online, or at unitedwayri.org/event. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m.
The following individuals and organizations will be recognized for their work to improve the lives of their neighbors and for helping to create a stronger, more equitable Rhode Island: Beverly Ledbetter; Patrick Quinn; Blue Cross & Blue Shield of RI, Rhode Island Center for Justice and Dr. Nicole Alexander-Scott .
“I can’t tell you how excited we are, not only to bring our community together and host this event in person, but more importantly to celebrate the impact our donors and partners are having in the state while recognizing some really amazing Rhode Islanders,” said Cortney Nicolato, United Way’s president and CEO. “Come, join us.
