As part of their efforts to assist unemployed veterans, Operation Stand Down Rhode Island (OSDRI) will host a veteran job fair on July 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CCRI Knight Campus in Warwick.
Over 30 employers from across Rhode Island will attend the event along with service providers, including Hero 2 Hire, ESGR, Network RI, and the Rhode Island Veterans Administration.
“A key to keeping veterans off the streets and in stable living situations is ensuring that they are meaningfully employed. Operation Stand Down offers career services to the veterans it services and this is part of our effort to reach out to the veteran community and give veterans in need of work a chance to meet with employers and discuss potential opportunities,” said Operation Stand Down Executive Director Erik Wallin.
The job fair is open to all veterans throughout Rhode Island. OSDRI offers career services year-round at its West Warwick offices located at 790 Providence Street. To learn more about OSDRI and veterans services, log on to www.OSDRI.org.
