The Warwick Vets boys’ soccer team bounced back from a rough loss to Woonsocket with a pair of ties last week, then got back into the win column this week, clinching a playoff spot in the process. The ’Canes played fourth-place Cranston East to a 3-3 tie last Wednesday then tied fifth-place Burrillville 2-2 on Friday. Tuesday night, Vets beat Exeter/West Greenwich 2-0 in its home finale. Nikone Soupharath and Sebastian Rasmussen delivered the goals in the victory, with Josiah Enos picking up an assist. Ryan Costa made seven saves for the shutout. Vets is now 6-5-2 and will be in the postseason. The ’Canes will visit first-place Davies today at 3:30 p.m., with the playoffs set to begin next week.
