The Vasa Order of America, RI  District #3, will celebrate Midsommar Saturday, June 10th at l Little Rhody Vasa Park at 10 Boswell Trail, Foster, RI.

People of all heritages are welcome to enjoy Nordic music, children’s games, dancing around the maypole and authentic Nordic food for sale (for example, Platta, Väffeldagen, Lefse, Kottbullar, Sil sandwiches, and more. Here will also be hot dogs, clamcakes, and chowder for the less adventurous.

The park opens at noon and events run from 1 to 5 p.m. with other activities including a flag ceremony, the crowning of the Queen and Princess for the day, the presentation of the RI District #3 scholarships, several vendors selling their wares, raffle prizes, and free train rides around the park for the children!.

The highlight of the day is the Viking are coming.  See a real-life clan of Vikings and their encampment as they demonstrate daily life at the time of the Vikings.  Park admission is $5.00 for guests aged 12 or older.
