Virginia E. (Christensen) Carmody, age 90, of Warwick, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021. She was the wife of the late Raymond A. Carmody.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Haakon and Susanne (Cunningham) Christensen, she lived in Cranston before moving to Warwick 20 years ago.
She is survived by three sons, Robert W. Carmody of Cranston, Steven M. Carmody of Florida, and James R. Carmody of Johnston; two daughters, Diane L. Oszajca of Johnston and Donna L. Coulter of South Carolina; a brother, Robert H. Christensen of Warwick; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Raymond S. Christensen, Bernice A Rollofson, Evelyn C. Sadlier, and Dorothy I. McGuinn.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 5, at 10 a.m. in St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. (Facial coverings and social distancing will be required.) Due to COVID-19 restrictions, her burial will be private.
