Warwick historian Henry Brown, a descendant of Governor John Brown Francis, visited Warwick Girl Scout Troop 274’s meeting recently as part of the Junior Inside Government Badge. Brown engaged the girls, telling them many stories about his life growing up in Warwick as well as stories about neighborhoods like Gaspee, Pawtuxet, Buttonwoods, Gov. Francis Farms and even a story about John Wickes’ beheading.
