It’s been a banner year for the Warwick PAL Patriots youth football program, and the success has continued right into the Ocean State Pop Warner playoffs. Three PAL teams will play for Super Bowl championships this weekend.
The Junior Pee Wee team is 9-0 this season and will be a favorite for the title when it takes on North Kingstown in the championship game. The Pee Wees and the Junior Midgets both went 7-2 and will also play North Kingstown for their crowns. All three teams will play for the title in Stonington, Conn., on Sunday, beginning at 10 a.m.
In addition to the football success, PAL has two of its cheerleading squads heading to regionals. The junior pee wee and junior midget teams will be competing Saturday at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield, Mass.
