The Warwick Police Department is currently investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Saturday at approximately 10:22 a.m. The robbery took place at the Bank Rhode Island located at 2975 West Shore Rd. The suspect is described as a male 6’2” tall with a large build wearing a gray zip-up hoodie over a plaid shirt, dark pants, camouflage boots and a camouflage bandana covering his face. Suspect was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun at the time and fled with an undetermined amount of cash.
Police are asking that anyone who may have information regarding this investigation to call Warwick Detective Sergeant Mark Canning at 468-4236, Det. Brent Groeneveld at 468-4273, or the anonymous TIP line at 732-TIPS (732-8477).
