James M. Wayss 63, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2024, with his loving family by his side. Born in Providence, he was the son of Paul R. Wayss and the late Jacquelyn M. (Streker) Wayss.
Jimmy was a lifelong resident of Warwick. He had worked as a prep cook for Cosmic Steak & Pizza for 10 years prior to his passing. He was a loving and kind caregiver for his parents in their later years.
He was a huge New England Patriots fan. Jim was a friend to all, and a stranger to none, if you were his friend, you were friends for life. Jimmy could never stay still he loved the water, especially Narragansett Bay.
Besides his father Jimmy is survived by his loving daughter Jillian M. Wayss, and the Poppy to Lyla Garbecki. He was the brother of Paul C., Robert J. and Charles E. Wayss, Doris J. Lee, Barbara A. Moulton, Mary Beth Hicks, Linda M. Cicerone, and Karen E. Forleo. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dave and the Cosmic Steak & Pizza family.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
