Donald Louis Westberg, 80, of East Greenwich, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Carl E. and Alice I. (Aldrich) Westberg.

Donald proudly served in the United States Coast Guard receiving a National Defense Service Medal and the Coast Guard Good Conduct Medal. After the Coast Guard he worked as a truck driver for Sunoco Oil Company until his retirement in 2010. He also served as Captain of the Warwick Police Reserves. Donald was a pilot, flight instructor, and member of the Quiet Birdmen. He was a Mission Pilot and Cadet Orientation Pilot with the Civil Air Patrol. Donald was a member of the Bristol Elks Lodge and an avid boater, Cuttyhunk and Martha’s Vineyard being his favorite islands to visit.

He is survived by his daughter Jessica L. DiSaia-Pelletier and son-in-law Jon Pelletier of Coventry, his daughter Kristen L. Westberg of Coventry, his former wife Darlene E. (Williams) Westberg of Coventry, his sister, Barbara M. Garfinkle of Coventry, and his beloved grandchildren, Alice, Sydney, and Jonathan.

He was the brother of the late Russell J. Westberg.

His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 10:00AM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 5:00PM-7:00PM at the Funeral Home.
