The Warwick Soccer Association sent a U12 girls team to the Green Mountain Challenge in Stratton, Vt., last month and the squad came home with the championship. Against teams from all over New England and New York, the WSA team won all four of its games in dominant fashion. It was the team’s fourth trip to the tournament and its second championship. The team is coached by Danny Peixinho and Joe Silvestre.
