This historical and romantic bridge should be restored like an antique plaque home, with the same materials it was originally built with (i.e. wrought iron). It worked in the 1880's. It worked in 1933, when it was widened. It will work today, and forever it will attract visitors, some of which will become residents and new taxpayers. The graffiti needs to go with maybe a program to continue its removal, and the repairs need to be made to preserve yesteryear. State Rep Joe McNamara is to be applauded for his continuous work on this historical landmark.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
