Richard “Moose” Carey, Jr., age 67, life-long resident of Warwick, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024, in Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Judy (Johnson) Carey, to whom he shared 45 years of marriage.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Richard “Dick” (Carole) and Anna (Arnold) Carey, Sr. A graduate of Warwick Veterans Highschool and went onto work with the City of Warwick for 30 years as a Truck Driver, prior to his retirement.
Richard enjoyed some of the simple pleasures in life like fishing, and golfing with his friends. His most treasured time, however, was spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving son, Richard “Rick” Carey III and his wife Elizabeth; adored grandchildren, Noah and Ryan Carey; brother, William Carey; and sisters, Tracey Orme, and Kelly Lemire. He was the cherished father of the late, Jessica Taylor.
