Karen Butler, daughter of Anthony and Patricia Cunha, recently retired as a nurse at Miriam Hospital after a 42-year career. She is the mother of three sons, Brian, Eric and Mark. Karen grew up in Warwick and graduated from Pilgrim High School before attending URI. After earning a degree at URI she landed a job at Miriam and spent the rest of her nursing career there. Upon retiring, the hospital presented her with a rocking chair, which being as busy as she is she doesn’t get to use that much. (Submitted photo)
