Distinctive Dance Etc. of Warwick competed against dozens of dance studios from across the region April 21 at the Showstopper Dance Championships held at Mashantucket II, CT returning with multiple individual and group awards.

 Founded in 1978, Showstopper is America‘s first, longest-running competition providing 50 competitive events  throughout the country during the year.

Distinctive Dance Etc. entries placed as follows:

Adaline Swanson received 4th place overall in Mini Competitive Solo; Kiera Nolan received 4th place overall in Mini Competitive Solo; ''Queen of the Moors'' received 1st place overall in Mini Competitive Duet/Trio; ''Conga'' received 5th place overall in Junior Competitive Duet/Trio; Madelyn Roberts received 2nd place overall in Mini Competitive Solo; Savanna Mello received 3rd place overall in Mini Competitive Solo; Olivia Randall received 5th place overall in Mini Competitive Solo; Emma Lawton received 1st place overall in Mini Competitive Solo; ''Runaway Brides'' received 1st place overall in Mini Competitive Large; ''Nevermore'' received 2nd place overall in Mini Competitive Large; ''Sir Elton'' received 1st place overall in Junior Competitive Large.

Also, Distinctive Dance Etc. received 2 double platinum awards; 13 platinum awards; and one gold award.

 Distinctive Dance Etc. is now qualified to go to the Showstopper National Finals in either Sandusky, Mashantucket, Myrtle Beach, Kissimmee, Anaheim, or Galveston this summer.
